How Grade Six Students can be involved in the Community

1. Pick up garbage and don't litter.
2. Organize and help with programs for disabled, elderly, kids, etc.
   
3. Clean up local places like parks, schools, and recreation facilities
   
4. Run for student council
   
5. Speak out about the problems to the teachers. school, council, student council, etc.
   
6. Random acts of kindness like mow lawns for people
   
7. Sing for seniors at the senior home
8. Organize fundraisers like making and sell cookies or baking and give the $ to charity
9. Go to council meetings
10. Give food to the food bank
11. Go GREEN by walking, planting trees, 4r's (reduce, reuse, recycle, rethink) etc.
12. Volunteer like help in the soup kitchen, and homeless shelter and teen centre
13. Take care of stray animals or take them to the vet.
